Concert Seating

Middlebury High School just put a concert hall in the back of their school. The concert hall is narrow near the stage and gradually goes wider. The first row has 6 seats. The second row has 8 seats. The third row has 10 seats. If this pattern continues:

1) How many seats will be in the fourth row? the tenth row?

2) Can you write a number sentence that expresses the number of seats in terms of the row?

3) If there were 66 seats in the concert hall how many rows would there be?

4) If there were 300 seats in the concert hall how many rows would there be?
